Check magnification when buying a rifle scope

Best Scope Hunting Lens
There are several factors to keep in mind when choosing a rifle scope. Essential ones include construction, objective lens, magnification, and eye-relief. The buyers often make a mistake in terms of magnification.

In simple terms, magnification is how closer a target is visible to you, when compared to a naked eye.

The first number mentioned on a scope is usually its magnification. For example: if you find 2x32 written on a scope, it means its magnification is two. This is an example of a fixed power scope.

Many scopes have numbers like 3-7x32 written on it. In such scopes, the magnification is in the range defined by the first two numbers, three to seven in this case. This type of scope is known as variable power scope.

For a small game, magnification between 1 - 4x is preferred. Choose a fixed scope, to fasten up the encounters.

A magnification between 5 - 8x is suitable to hunt large game in the woods. If your hunting arena is a desert or a field, a magnification of 9 - 12x is best for you.

You can always ask your scope supplier about the magnification. And, for the best rifle scope lens, contact ScopeAid. The store custom designs the scope lens for hunters using the bifocal or trifocal lens. Get more details from here:
